Movie title trouble about a Rock band?

It is not on the internet. So, it can be a big challenge.

It was a movie about a rock band of two people one boy and one girl. I
think from 80s. Girl is curly haired, ginger. Boy long haired usual
rocker. They play a child's birthday party, one of the children vomits
on girl's or boy's suede boats. They try to find money to make an
album, so the girl gets marry with a man for money.
I searched in imdb's advanced search and google....no clues at all...
