'Colbert' all of a sudden suspends tape

ColbertTaping from the final two instances of Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" now was abruptly shuttered Wednesday, because of exactly what the cabler stated inside a statement were "unforeseen conditions." The Wall Street Journal reported the production halt came due to a household emergency for host Stephen Colbert. Comedy Central placed reruns around the schedule instead of the initial episodes initially planned for Wednesday and Thursday. "Colbert" episodes typically air the evening they're recorded. Based on reviews online, ticketholders for Wednesday's episode received notification earlier on that day the tape have been canceled. "Colbert" had came back to new episodes Monday and Tuesday following a week's vacation. In the newest weeks time of original episodes, it averaged 1.5 million audiences per airing.
